Contex is an anti-flux for precious metal soldering. Precious metal areas covered with Contex will not be affected by the solder. This avoids unintentional spatter of the solder onto areas close to the soldering seam. Because of this, Contex proves particularly suitable for the soldering of spring- and friction pins, anchor- and root pins, precision attachments and in all cases where precision soldering is necessary. Contex is for use in goldsmith work in conjunction with all red gold alloys and with palladium-bearing white gold alloys, but not with nickel-bearing white gold alloys.
