Description
The FINO Plastic Sprue with Reservoir is designed for dental laboratories carrying out crown and bridge work using the lost-wax (investment) casting technique. Manufactured from plastic that burns away cleanly during the burnout stage, it leaves no residue in the mould, helping technicians avoid casting defects such as porosity or incomplete metal fill.
The integrated reservoir acts as a buffer during casting, supporting a more even flow of molten metal into the mould cavity and helping maintain consistent castings.
This sprue is available in two size options:
4.0mm head, blue, with a 1.5mm shank — supplied in packs of 200
5.0mm head, red — supplied in packs of 200
The colour coding lets technicians quickly identify sprue size at the bench, which is useful in laboratories stocking multiple sprue diameters.
Each sprue attaches to the wax pattern before investing, forming the channel through which molten metal enters the mould during casting. Once cooled, the sprue is cut away from the finished restoration during finishing and polishing.
